Congee
i have always been a fan of rice...because of our culture, perhaps ... :))
we recently found a restaurant that makes a really good congee, [hehe, in our humble opinion] ( from here, it says that congee is also called jook, or juk, in China, and khao tom gung, in Thailand) which we call here as "lugaw"..
a satisfying meal without being heavy on the belly... :))
*that's seafood congee..all those wonderful additions (fillet of fish, shrimp, squid -the "skin" looked peeled, and it was this all white meat already- and squidballs) are underneath all that hot gruel...
